It’s like committing suicide…
Okay, well, not by jumping off of a bridge or anything…but by not doing anything about how I’m living. You see, my lifestyle has contributed to many avoidable health concerns. Not the least of which is high blood pressure, gout, vitamin D deficiency, high cholesterol and I’m slightly overweight (my little digital scale actually tells me I’m obese). To be only 37 and suffering from these afflictions (for many years), is just not cool.
Contributing factors? I’ll give you the four that sum it all up:
- Poor diet
- Too much stress
- Not enough exercise
- Not enough natural sunlight
I don’t want to go to an early grave because of what is quite frankly suicidal behavior. If I don’t make the changes to alter these contributing factors, I am choosing to allow these concerns to persist, multiply, possibly worsen and shorten my life. Choosing not to change for physical, mental, spiritual and financial well being is pretty much…just like suicide.
Quite simply, it’s way past time to make a change.
Though I don’t dig the over-use of clichés: ”Today is the first day of the rest of my life.” From diet to exercise, finance to romance, employment to education, I am making a change…and you’ll read about it here.
The journey begins today.
